This season kids have an additional incentive to get out and have fun at the Harcourts Cooper & Co Beach Series. Each time they participate, not only will they be swimming or running with their friends and family, but they’ll also be accruing valuable points for their primary school in the Primary Schools Competition. There is a Competition trophy and free Pita Pit meals up for grabs for the Primary School team with the highest points across the Series (see points calculation below), as well as a Competition plaque and free Pita Pits for the runner up school team, and a Participation plaque and free Pita Pits for the school team with the most entries across the season – awesome!

How to enter your child / children

All you need to do is enter your primary school child/children into either the Junior Swim 250m or Run 2.5km events, tell us the name of their primary school and their year (on the entry form) and each time they participate, they’ll accrue points for their school. The school with the most points at the end of the season, wins the major prize. It’s as simple as that!

Points Competition

  • The winning boy and girl in each event option and distance receive 100 points.
  • The rest of the boys and girls in each event get fewer points based on the ‘45 Events timing formula’ as used in the Series Competition points calculations.
  • A school’s total for any given night is the average points scored by all children from that school. E.g. 8 kids total 560 points, 560 points divided by 8 = 81.25 points for that school that event.
  • The winning school is determined by totaling each school’s best 12 points scores/results, so the more events your school attends the more chances you will have to win.

The winning school will be awarded;

  • The Beach Series Primary Schools Competition Winner Plaque
  • All children of the winning school team will receive a Pita Pit Meal presented by Pita Pit staff at their school in a chosen lunch hour, as well as Lumino The Dentists tooth brushes.

Runner up school will be awarded;

  • The Beach Series Primary Schools Competition Runner Up Plaque
  • All children of the winning school team will receive a Pita Pit presented by Pita Pit staff at their school in a chosen lunch hour, as well as Lumino The Dentists tooth brushes.

Schools Participation Prize

The school with the most entries over the duration of the season will be awarded;

  • The Beach Series Primary Schools Competition Participation Plaque
  • All children of the winning school team will receive a Pita Pit presented by Pita Pit staff at their school in a chosen lunch hour , as well as Lumino The Dentists tooth brushes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three children from each school need to participate on any given night to activate the points for that school on that event night.
  • Each school must have a minimum of 12 events throughout the season where three or more children have participated, in order to be up for any of the above mentioned prizes.
  • Dates for the winning and runner up school lunches to be confirmed following discussions with the schools, Pita Pit and 45 Events staff.
