Beach Series is a family affair

We have so many great stories to tell about the families that participate in Beach Series, so we thought we would start with the Beaman Family who have four young brothers participating in the Junior Run.

Having recently entered they gave us some great insight into why families get so much from spending Tuesday nights throughout Summer with us all at Takapuna beach.

Learn a little more about the Beaman Family below:

Rafe Beaman
Family of four boys taking part. This is our 5th year involved as participants (my fourth). Before that we used to sit on the bank and eat our Pita Pit watching.

Keir Beaman
I was the first one in my family to put my hand up for the Beach Series – I’d just turned four years old then. I’m just about to turn 8 and love it!

Matz Beaman
I’m only just getting strong and fit enough to finish the Beach Series. Its hard work, but I’m getting fitter. And I really like the More FM treats that sometimes we get to have after our race.

Torr Beaman
I’m only little but I try to keep up with my big brothers in the Beach Series. Last year I completed the whole 2.5km just once, so this year I’m going to try really hard to run it as many weeks as I can. I especially enjoy running through the water and splashing my way down the beach.

With this kind of attitude from our juniors, this series is going to be full of energy and great stories…
