Beach and Coastal Run Options
- 2.5km Junior Run (12yrs and under)
- 5km Beach Run
- 7km Coastal Run
Whether you’re a competitive runner or simply out for some social, physical activity, come along and run at your own pace. Why not start with the 5km Beach Run and work up to the 7km Coastal Run? A timing transponder will record your time to mark your progress throughout the season.
Beach running is a great activity suitable for young and old alike, and what better place to do it than on Auckland’s favourite central city beach. Or for the slightly more adventurous get the feet wet and rock hop your way around the North Shore coastline.
Plodding the pavement is a thing of the past!
Event Safety and Rules
- Event Rules and Safety Guidelines can be found HERE and at the event base each week
- Shoes are optional for the 5km Beach Run but compulsory for the 7km Coastal Run
- 7km Coastal runners will be deducted series points if found to be running across (rather than around) the Takapuna boat ramp carpark
Safety Briefing Times and Locations
For your safety it is compulsory for all participants to attend their event briefing each week.
- Junior Events – Takapuna Reserve at 5.45pm
- Adult Events – Takapuna Reserve at 6.20pm

It is compulsory for all participants to read and accept our Terms & Conditions and Waiver. These will be included in your online entry, but can also be found HERE.

It is important that participants check their course map on the event base info board as these are subject to change each week.
Courses will not be explained in the Event Safety Briefings so please make sure you are familiar with your course before your event. If you are unsure please ask a Beach Series volunteer before your safety briefing.
