Make sure you have entered! You are better off registering online before you come to the event which you can do here (link to entry info page) Entries close 2pm on event day.
On Monday – tell the boss you will be leaving a little early tomorrow, registration closes 15 mins before your event time, you don’t want to miss out.
Monday night is kit night – make a list of all the components you will need and check them off as you put them in your bag, once done drop your bag by the front door so you don’t forget it. (We would advise against trying to fit your paddle boards and skis in your bag).
Check the weather – there might be a Southerly coming, or a little rain. Might be worth adding some extra layers into your bag just in case. You don’t want to be wet and cold before and/or after your event.
Snacks – as the series is in the early evening make sure you pack some extra food to eat on the way to Takapuna, you need that energy to put in your best performance.
Fluids – Keep a bottle of water by your desk throughout the day on Tuesday. It is important to slowly hydrate before any event. Don’t drink too much as you will remove valuable salts used on those hot days.
Got suncream? New Zealand’s sun can be a little dangerous, better to be safe than sorry.
Tell all of your friends what you are up to, they might like to come along and give it a go.
Bring the family down to watch. There are some great places to eat and relax in Takapuna after you have put in all that hard work.
